As part of the research that explored transition through college we observed classroom lessons and surveyed teachers to develop a pedagogy scale that ranges from transmissionist to connectionist teaching. We are continuing to research Secondary Mathematics teaching practices with this instrument in the project Teleprism (Teaching and Learning Practices in Secondary Mathematics). This project aims to map secondary students’ learning outcomes, attitudes and choices regarding mathematics, together with the teaching to which they are exposed.
